Banner-Making and Protest Methods Workshop
Where social justice and activism intersects with creativity and commmunities
This half-day workshop focuses on activism and social change from protests to people power to covert action and how to use your skills, resources, networks, capacities and influence. Part of collectivising and protesting is knowing your role, minimising the duplication of effort + reinventing the wheel, but most importantly…care. Participants will be guided through a banner-making workshop while sharing a curated series of storytelling, talks and videos from past movements and speakers.
What we explore
The workshop provides attendees with practical ways to co-design slogans and work with reusable materials to create banners while listening to speakers and experts who have spent their lifetime organising, creating movements, resisting and practically creating change through the power of the individual and also within groups. The workshop is a space of knowledge sharing and ways for everyone to engage in learning and making together.
